My mom was hospitalized in January with pneumonia, upon her stay at the hospital she contracted a staph infection. Within a few weeks of leaving the hospital she began having pain all through her body. About a month later when she finally got into the doctor, they ran some tests and discovered that she has rheumatoid arthritis. It just seems strange that she never had symptoms prior to being at the hospital, and now she’s hurting all over every day. I’m afraid that it could’ve been a misdiagnosis, as she is cared for by the VA and they missed my stepdads non hodgekins lymphoma (which thank god was caught at another hospital, thanks to his persistance ) I’m just curious if there are any other conditions that could have been overlooked, or If there are any treatments herbal remedies or anything she can try. I feel so bad for her cause shes active and can’t do things that she wants to do. She also is experiencing anxiety attacks from the stress. Any help would be awesome! Thanks!

I have a 9 year old Rottweiler (named Belle) who is having some trouble with arthritis. She is becoming more stiff as the nights get colder, I’m doing what I can for her. I let her sleep on my bed, and on the couch when she’s in the living room. I am also giving her Bayer Asprin (I asked my vet about the appropriate dose), but she is still limping a bit through out the day. Is there anything else I can do the ease her arhritis pain without having to put her on a perscription medication?

I have had rheumatoid arthritis since I was 9. It was originally diagnosed as “Juvinile Rheumatoid Arthritis”. Does anyone know of any natural supplements that help? Ive tried everything, and I’m getting sick of all this crap my rheumatoligist is prescribing.

My grandmother has bad arthritis in her ankle. It hurts me to see her do her best to walk on that sore, swollen ankle everyday. I really want to help her. I know I can’t fix the problem, but I was hoping that maybe someone would know a way to ease the pain and prevent some of the swelling. I would really appreciate it if someone could lend me some advice. Thanks.

I have arthritis that has fused my SI joints, and had to also get both my hips replaced due to degeneration of the joint. I thought I had AS. But the tests did not come Positive, but that also is common with people with AS. How can I tell if I have AS or if it could be an Infectious Arthritis? I have had my condition since I was 15yrs
